What is Zeoyuc Prime?

Zeoyuc Prime is a nutritional additive designed to effectively reduce ammoniac odors and to improve the consistency of feces, through the synergic action of an extract of Yucca schidigera, the natural components of brewer’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and the mineral contribution of clays such as zeolites.

Absorbent of ammonia odors

This is obtained through the synergic action of Yucca and zeolite. This mineral is composed principally of clinoptilolite, with a structure similar to a cage, composed of tetrahedrons of SiO4 and AlO4 joined by oxygen atoms. The negative charges of AlO4 are balanced by the presence of interchangeable cations: calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron. These ions can be displaced by other substances, like heavy metals or ammonium ions. This process is known as cation exchange capacity, and it is the property that permits us to consider this mineral an excellent ammonia odor capturer.

At the same time, the Yucca extract exhalts the effect of the mineral, because it absorbs ammonia odors by inhibiting UREASE. This is obtained by the saponin fraction of the Yucca extract (Preston et al. 1987). It is also known that glicocomponents of Yucca have high affinity for free ammonia, binding to its structure (Haedon, 1992).

The combination of both components promotes its capacity to effectively reduce the unpleasant odors of feces.

Improves consistency of feces

This is obtained through the astringent action of zeolite. These clays are aluminium silicates that have the capacity of capturing excess humidity. This reduces the speed at which food is digested and indirectly contributes to a better digestion, and therefore, to a substantial improvement in the consistency of feces.

Thus, feces are more consistent, smaller in size and with a substantial reduction in unpleasant odors.

Nutritional contribution

The components supplied by brewer’s yeast in ZEOYUC PRIME are an excellent complement to achieve an additive that contributes to improve digestion and feces’ consistency.

Soft feces and unpleasant odors are usually caused by the effect of two factors: low quality raw materials, and diarrheas caused by pollution with pathogenic microorganisms, such as Salmonella spp, found in the environment.

Brewer’s yeast supplies cell wall (mananoligosaccharides and beta glucans), components of the nucleus (nucleotides) and substances such as vitamin B, glutamine and glutamate.

The components of cell walls help in the development of beneficial bacteria, and more importantly, are very efficient in the agglutination of pathogens like Salmonella spp, helping to eliminate them from the organism through the feces. On the other hand, nucleotides stimulate the immune response against pathogens.
